Cosco opened the first direct service between China to Taiwan

 
    On 15th, Cosco Group opened the first direct service between China to Taiwan.

“COSCO OCEANIA” with a teu capacity of 10,000, departed Tianjin on 15th and will arrive at Kaohsiung on the 17th, it would be the largest container ship the port ever receives.
“YUAN HE” left Shanghai on 15th and voyage to Kaoishiung will only be one day.

It is the first time since the war in China 1949, “COSCO OCEANIA” and “YUAN HE” have marked historic stride for China shipping between mainland and Taiwan.

Due to this historic day, the inauguration ceremonies of cross straight direct shipping, part of the “Three major direct services”, were grandly held in Tianjin and Shanghai simultaneously.

Likewise, Taiwan group Evergreen were in charge to inaugurate the cross straight direct shipping between Taiwan to China, the port rotation Kaohsiung to Xingang, Dalian and Qingdao.
