Inauguration of the new terminal of Cosco and PSA in Singapore

 
    

On 3 December the container terminal Cosco-PSA, constituted in a joint venture by the Chinese shipowner Cosco (with 49% of the capital disbursed by Cosco Pacific) and by the group of PSA terminals of Singapore (with 51% of the capital), was inaugurated in the port of Singapore.

 

Cosco-PSA Terminal (CPT) started to operate on 1st November. The company administrates two docks of the Terminal Pasir Panjang with a total of 720 lineal metres of dock and a surface of 228000 square metres. When it is working at full capacity the installation could operate more than a million teus per year. The installation, spokesmen of CPT indicated, is able to manipulate the biggest containerships in the world with a capacity of 8000 teus.
